Live Differently

Live Differently

My first summer away from home, I arrived in El Salvador with a lot of ideas and a significant amount of unearned confidence. I believed I was ready to change the world for the Kingdom of God through two months of kid’s soccer games and worship nights.

Discover Truth

Like many BSF students, Caleb felt the mounting strain of academic and social pressures. In high school, BSF seemed like another class to complete, and his workload was already overwhelming. In his late teens, Caleb stopped attending BSF. How can we maximize class time to draw students closer to Christ?

God-Focused, Student-Centered Learning

What if students had choices? What if they could learn based on their unique personalities? What if we maximized Bible and group interaction, drawing every student into the experience? In many ways, student-centered learning is simply another phrase for discipleship.

Looking up from her BSF lesson, 9-year-old Ruthie quietly asked, “What if all of this stuff in the Bible is wrong?”

How Was the New Student Program Designed?

How Was the New Student Program Designed?

Was the new School Program developed within the confines of BSF Headquarters walls? No! Over the past year and a half, the Redesign Team has used the “human-centered design” thinking process to build a new curriculum.

How Well Do You Know Gen Z?

How Well Do You Know Gen Z?

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a collection of secret code words and pass phrases that would guarantee instant connection to younger generations? You can try adding “bet,” “extra,” or “no cap” into your vocabulary, but is this really what young people, commonly called Generation Z, are looking for?

“… we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.”

Psalm 78:4

Our Purpose and Vision

Our mission is global, in-depth Bible studies producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word and His Church. Our vision is to magnify God and mature His people – His young people – as they cultivate a deeper relationship with Him.

Through their participation in the BSF Student Program, students will experience transformational discipleship as they build community, discover truth, and live differently in the study of God’s Word.

Though the methods are changing, what we do remains the same.

Change Is Coming

A new School Program curriculum will launch August 2022!

This is an exciting time to be a Children’s Leader in BSF Students! As you lead students in the study of Matthew, BSF writers are preparing curriculum for the next study, People of the Promise – Divided. The curriculum model has been redesigned with two overarching program goals:

  1. Deepen Impact – enhance the student experience of life-changing study of God’s Word, leading to deeper heart transformation
  2. Expand Reach – exponentially increase the number and diversity of the student population we engage in in-depth Bible study

We will be posting monthly to this CL Blog. These posts will help you to learn about the three components of Transformational Discipleship, which are the foundation of the new curriculum.

October & November: Build Community
Why is building a Christ-centered community a fundamental aspect of learning?

January & February: Discover Truth
Why is the method of teaching and discipleship as important as the content being taught?

March & April: Live Differently
Why and how does discipleship go far beyond knowledge of the Bible?

You can expect to receive an email when a new blog has been posted. This is our primary way to share information about the new curriculum with you, so plan to check out the articles and videos in the blog each month. We invite you to come along the journey to launch the new curriculum!

Created for Commitment

“God gave me a profound conviction that the way to know Him intimately as a Person related to me was through the study of His Word with the help of the Holy Spirit. I knew the Bible to be the unique revelation of God and His will for humanity. I wanted people to know God has revealed His character and His destiny to the human race … God intends each of His children to know the ‘whole counsel of God.’ Only then does one really see His glory exhibited in the many facets of His character and will …”
