MyBSF Learning

MyBSF Learning launched to all new Class Staff on July 1! All new STLs, CAs, CSs, D-AOTs, and AOTs are now trained in this learning resource. If new Class Staff waiting to be trained have not received a welcome email from MyBSF Learning, please send an email to learning@bsfinternational.org and include the name, email address, class number and Class Staff position.

Going forward, please allow two weeks after the submission of a G110 Notice for the new CA/CS/D-AOT/AOT to be updated in MyBSF Learning.

Matthew Resource

Check your downloads for the Matthew Resource website which will be available July 8, 2021. This resource contains material outside the scope of staff manuals and tool kits to help you in the Matthew Study year. There is important content for all BSF Class Staff relating to Meeting Options and more!

We are excited to provide Leader landing pages for ALs, Assistant CSs/CLs and GLs! Class staff will need to send leaders their link to access ALL of the resources they need for the Matthew study year!

Pray for BSF 2.0

Our HQ team is working hard to develop BSF 2.0, which will merge Mybsf.org and class.bsfinternational.org into a streamlined user experience for AP, Class Staff, leaders and members.

The new Mybsf.org will include:

  • A new look and feel to the lessons page and the lecture upload page
  • Class management features (BSF 2.0) that will be more functional and user-friendly
  • Leaders’ access to their resources
  • Ability for members to edit their profile/member record and register online

Our initial plan to unveil the new Mybsf.org before the study year has been delayed to provide a website that meets your needs with excellence. Classes will begin the Matthew study year using class.bsfinternational for class data management. Mybsf.org will remain unchanged until the new site is launched toward the end of 2021. You will receive training and helpful resources in preparation for the launch.

More details will come. Meanwhile, please pray for the continued work on this vital project.

Important Summit Information

Summit Community Session scripts (English, TC and SC Chinese) are provided in your class downloads. NOTE: Spanish translations will be available soon.

A link to the Summit website which includes the Summit video will be provided in late July.

Meeting in-person for Summit?

  • Complete this form once you confirm your location and date. Facility costs should be communicated from AP to HQ and approved by HQ prior to scheduling.
  • In-person contributions at Summit? Complete this form by July 15 or once you confirm your location and date to report that your class will include Summit contributions in your August Monthly Financial Report (F 107-USA and F 107-INTL).

Regathering: Request for Regathering Forms (RRFs)

Class staffs must complete and submit an RRF to AP for approval before regathering in-person in locations where government regulations, or a Host Church/venue policy require an Emergency Operating Plan (EOP).

In locations where an RRF is not required either by Government or Host Church regulations, AP continue to submit information on the classes/locations that will be regathering using the link provided in the Regathering Information on their website.

Seeking New Online Group Leaders

We are praying that God will raise at least 300 more Online Group Leaders (OGLs) before the launch of our Matthew study. You are the channel through which they will be identified. As you consider your class leaders and members, will you ask Him to give you eyes to see who He may be calling? It has been exciting to watch the number of OGLs increase steadily over the last several months. We trust that He is preparing the way for many more men and women around the world to have access to in-depth Bible study through BSF.

Protecting Our Members’ Personally Identifying Information (PII)

It’s our BSF break and a great time to clean out and clear out records. Current risks of data breaches, scams and cyber-attacks, require vigilance to protect the information of our members, children and leaders. During the Genesis study, GLs and CLs leading in-person and online may have obtained reports or information on members to manage their groups.

To protect member, children or leader PII including, name, address, phone number, email address, etc. dispose of all reports or information immediately — by shredding (paper forms) or deleting (electronic forms).  Help us uphold the integrity of BSF by cleaning out any records that are no longer needed. If you have any questions about data retention, please speak to your CA or AP.

CP Checklist Validation (Formerly known as TL Checklist Validation)

All AP validation boxes of the CP Checklist will be cleared at the conclusion of the Genesis study to allow for a fresh start for the new study year. Each Area Team is responsible for validating the eligibility of all children’s leadership and volunteers on the CP Checklist at the beginning of the study (by lesson 2) and again mid-year (with each class visit). AP assistance upholding BSF’s high safety standards is greatly appreciated. Detailed instructions on how to validate the CP Checklist are provided in the AP Manual.

You are up to date and doing great work!

CA Global Zoom Meeting

You are invited to join the BSF Class Administration Team for a time of encouragement, fellowship and conversation around how God is leading BSF to become more accessible. This meeting is optional and instructions are included in the Matthew Resource.

Orders@bsfinternational.org Renamed

The email address orders@bsfinternational.org (referenced in your CA Manual) has been changed to classadmin@bsfinternational.org.

  • This decision was made to align with the move to digital materials and because this email address serves a variety of purposes for CAs.
  • Please begin using classadmin@bsfinternational.org for CA-related communication in place of any reference to orders@bsfinternational.org found in manuals, forms, toolkits and resources.

Note: for a time, emails sent to orders@bsfinternational.org will forward to classadmin@bsfinternational.org.

Digital Forms

BSF now offers a document service to obtain digital signatures for the following forms.

  • Parental Permission (I 104b)
  • Regular Volunteer Information and Yearly Recertification (CP 111)
  • Verifiable Parental Consent (VPC) and Video/Photographic Image Release (CP 110)

A Digital Forms Package with detailed instructions can be found in the Matthew Resource for Children’s Supervisors. The Digital Forms Package will be added to the next release of the Class Forms Book. All questions regarding digital documents should be directed to the CA/CS Helpdesk.

Yearly Recertification

All Children’s Leadership must be certified and/or re-certified using the Regular Volunteer Information and Yearly Recertification (CP 111) before attending the first Leaders Meeting, whether the class is meeting in-person or online. Every Regular Volunteer on the TL/CP Checklist must also be re-certified using the CP 111. It is not necessary to re-screen Regular Volunteers if they remained active in your class (either in-person or online) during the study of Genesis. Simply have them sign the CP 111. NOTE: Australia and New Zealand are excluded from the Yearly Recertification requirement.

BSF Store

The Bible Lesson Manual (BLM) and Bible Story and Hymn Manual (BSHM) for the Matthew study are coming to the BSF Store soon! They will be located on the Leaders page. Passwords required to purchase these printed leader resources will be available in the CS and CA Downloads soon. Remember: Digital copies of the Matthew BLM and BSHM are also available in the Matthew Resource for local printing.
