  • Double-occupancy lodging for you and another event attendee for the nights of the event.

Do I have to be vaccinated to attend?

Vaccination is not required to attend the conference, except as required by the U.S. government and/or airlines for travel on public transportation and airlines. Please check your country’s requirements before booking tickets.

Will I be asked to do a daily health screening?

No. There are no plans to ask attendees to complete a daily health self-check.

AP Only: My teammate is retiring at the end of the John study year. Will my new teammate be invited to attend the event?

BSF books and pays for your hotel room for the nights of the conference if you room with another BSF event attendee.

    Will I have a roommate?

Can my spouse and/or children—who are not attending the conference—be my roommate?

No. BSF has booked a certain number of hotel rooms based on two conference attendees rooming together. If your spouse and/or children visit Dallas while you are attending the event, you will need to book your own hotel room at your personal expense. Please remember that the daily schedule is full—from breakfast until approximately 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. each night.

I live in the Dallas area. I will be staying at the Anatole but would like to go home on Thursday after the evening session concludes. Is that ok?

      Travel — United States/Canada Residents

I am a domestic traveler booking tickets with ATC Travel. My name on my Deem profile is not correct and I can’t change it. What do I do?

The name on your Deem profile must match the name on your government ID that you travel with (driver’s license or passport). If it does not match:

      • Email events@bsfinternational.org with the name as listed on your driver’s license or passport (the government ID that you will travel with). Note: Travelers cannot change their first or last name on the Deem profile; you may only add a middle name.
      • The Events team will submit the name change request to ATC Travel.
      • Wait 24-48 hours and then confirm your name has been updated correctly on your Deem profile. If correct, book your tickets!
Why does the Travel Policy Supplement for the United States and Canada ask me not to book my ticket on Friday or Saturday if using ATC Travel’s online booking (Deem)?

Tickets booked using Deem must be approved by the BSF Events team within 24 hours of booking. If booking on Friday or Saturday, your tickets would require approval on Saturday or Sunday when we are not working. Booking a ticket on Friday or Saturday will require you to rebook your ticket if it is not approved within 24 hours. It is ok to book your ticket on Sunday since BSF Events will return to work on Monday morning.

How does BSF pay for my airline tickets if I use Deem online booking?

Your Deem profile is automatically set to default for payment by a BSF purchasing card (Mastercard).  Note: AP living in the United States are encouraged to add their BSF-issued P-card in their individual Deem profile as the primary method of payment.

I want to book tickets on Southwest Airlines, but I don’t see many flight options on Deem. What do I do?

Please refine your search to reflect the “Standard” fare tier.
